Northwest Gymnastics Training Center

The October 9th Parent Meeting was packed full of useful information.  The Team Handbook 2009/2010 edition was handed-out and discussed.   Questions were answered and points formed as to the contents.  (If you missed the meeting, please stop by the office and speak with Tina.  You will need to sign showing that you received it.)

Also on the agenda was:

• The formation of a parents club, leading that is Erik Schneider.  Please talk with him for further details.
• The Reno (Flips Gymnastics) Fly-Away meet in January.   Options were discussed for hotels, meet fee schedules, and transportation
  • Those planning on participating must pay 1/2 of entry fee ($40) by October 25 to ensure she is eligible for it.
  • Please sign the sign-up sheet at the front desk, indicating wether you’d prefer to fly, drive or other.
  • The Host hotel is the Grand Sierra, you must mention you are with the Flip’s gymnastics, and also with NGTC.  (staying at this hotel is optional, however).
  • A couple parents have expressed a willingness to rent a 15-passenger vehicle and share costs with other interested to save costs.
• The NGTC  team performance at the Portland Trail Blazer game was also discussed.   More details will be forthcoming shortly for this December game.
• Please sit-down with your gymnast and have them read through the appropriate portions of Team Handbook, as it’s truly about them.
