 The NGTC girls once again had a very good meet.  The meet was located in Redmond, Oregon and hosted by Redmond Gymnastics Academy.   Each girl worked really hard to make this a successful meet!   Every level contributed to this team score.

There are some schedule changes to make you aware of.  

The Parent/tot class has been changed to 10 AM on Saturday.

The Level 1 class on Tuesday at 5:00 has been changed to a level 2.

We will be adding a Beginning Tumbling Class Tuesday at 6:30. 

Thursday Level 1 at 4:00 has been moved to 4:30.

Tiny Twisters will meet at 5:30 on Thursday.  This is an invite only class.

The Girls of NGTC continued to make everyone proud as they continued there strong performance and great attitudes in Reno!

A quick synopsis with full-results to follow in a couple days:

The Level 4’s, which performed Saturday morning, actually missed a team trophy (third place) by just .05.

Abby Lian won Vault and Floor in the Level 7 Championships, and Kelsey Harner finished a strong second!

Kelsey Funkhouser finished 10th Overall in the Level 5 Competition.  This included a 9th place on Floor!

All the girls are looking forward to getting back in the gym next week and going after more wins!

Way to go girls….and congrats to ALL who went on the Ultimate Rush swing. (pictures will be up soon)

The girls of NGTC continue to improve and they proved it in Reno, NV at the Flips 2010 Invitational.

The tournament is comprised of gyms from all around the country and includes all levels, up to level 10.  17 team members from NGTC and their families made the trip from Oregon to compete.   And, compete they did!

Leading the Level-4’s was Jessica Schaff.  She put together a beautiful performance and took home her first ever first-place medal with a win on Beam!  And, overall she finished very strong against probably the toughest competition the girls have seen all year with a 6th place overall finish!

The Level 6’s also competed Saturday morning.  All the girls medalled on at least one event.  Sarah Stinson turned in the top performance for NGTC with a third place finish overall which included top-five finishes on all four events!

The Optionals competed later on Saturday and will have results available on Sunday!  The level-5’s compete at 8am on Sunday and will also have results available here late on Sunday!

Be sure to check-back and look at the photo galleries.  Great fun was had by all, including the good gymnastics, meals, go-cart racing, bumper cars, arcades, a great night of bowling, of-course some parental gambling, but perhaps best of all, the many gymnasts (and parents) that dared take the adventure of THE Ultimate Rush!  This 180-foot-tall swing has up to 5-people harnassed into a contraption, raised nearly 180′ in the air, and released, leading to a 55′ free-fall where you reach speeds over 65mph and exceeding 4 g-forces!

A great trip….good friends…good gymnastics…lifelong memories….that’s what NGTC is all about!!!  Way to go girls!

Happy New Year from NGTC.   We thank everyone for a great 2009 and look forward to an even better 2010.

In just it’s second year, the competetive team is bringing home another State Champion. 

Kaitlyn King competed with the other NGTC girls of Laurel Dawson, Sarah Stinson and Giovanna Williams at the State Level 5 & 6 Gymnastics Championships this weekend at Peak Elite in Corvallis, OR.   And, for the second straight year, one of the NGTC athletes is returning from State a Champion!

Kaitlyn scored a 9.5 on vault to propel her to the top by more than a full-point to capture the crown and earn a second banner for the gym.  Last season, Giovanna captured the floor competition!

Way to go Kaitlyn!  I know the entire NGTC family offers our sincerest congratulations for your success!

And congrats to all the girls for qualifying for State!  All four level-6’s and all-three level-5’s earned the right to compete at State by qualifying with high scores at the Sectionals event just a couple weeks ago.

Thanks to all our new preschoolers, the NGTC Preschool Program is exploding!  And, to better facilitate the new little gymnasts and their parents, NGTC will be offering new preschool classes beginning January, 2010 on Monday mornings!
